Horsefly started as my passion project, but it has grown into something much bigger thanks to the amazing people who help bring it to life. I am endlessly grateful for this team of smart, funny, thoughtful guides who show up with enthusiasm and make every tour their own. They help turn history into an experience, and I feel awfully lucky to have such stellar people by my side.

Originally from historic Newport, Rhode Island, I moved to Durango in 2023 with my fiancée. My background in Veterinary Science, Conservation Biology, wildlife education, and naturalist guiding makes me a natural storyteller. After years of helping people connect with the natural world, I joined Horsefly to share Durango’s rich and rowdy history with guests from near and far.

As of 2026, I am a retired middle school teacher. I love the history of Durango and have been guiding for Horsefly for several years. The ghost tour has opened my mind to the paranormal. Things have happened we just can’t explain.

Born in Colorado, I have spent years guiding everywhere from horseback tours to history and ghost tours, with stops in places like Hawaii, Glacier National Park, Estes Park, Ashland, Seattle, Durango, and Steamboat. My love of the outdoors, storytelling, and connecting with people has taken me all over, and I’m excited to bring those experiences to Horsefly, where I can share history, hauntings, and a sense of place with the community.

Although originally from Austin, Texas; I have lived in Durango for over a decade and have loved every second of my time in Colorado! I received my undergraduate degree in History and Education from the University of North Texas (Go Eagles) and a Master's in US History from Adams State (Go Grizzlies!). When I am not giving tours, I am a middle school Social Studies teacher here in Durango or hiking in our gorgeous mountains!
